Sleeping eight guests in four bedrooms, this pet-friendly property sits within 1.5 acres of private grounds and offers magnificent valley views. With two lounges and gorgeous grounds incorporating a wildflower meadow, a quirky wooden sauna and a hot tub, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day on the trails. Vaulted beamed ceilings, arched windows and doors, exposed brick walls and polished wooden floors add to the property’s character and charm. Underfloor heating, Sonos speakers on the ground floor, home cinema surround sound in the lounge, plus the outdoor sauna and hot tub ensure a touch of luxury. Set beneath a vaulted ceiling and flooded with natural light, fill the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with laughter and chatter as you gather together. With a central island and breakfast bar, double AGA and electric oven, the kitchen is a dream to prepare meals in, while mixing with those relaxing on the comfortable sofas. There’s a table here for casual meals, while the formal dining room is the perfect backdrop for celebratory occasions. Settle in the formal lounge to watch a film, or take a glass of your favourite tipple to the garden to stargaze while bubbling in the hot tub. Four elegant bedrooms are divided between the ground and first floors, the two king-size suites accessed via different sets of stairs. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and International Dark Sky Reserve, the Northumberland National Park is a patchwork of rolling hills, sweeping moorlands, ancient forests, and picturesque valleys. There’s a wealth of historical attractions, including Hadrian’s Wall, which you can access at Chollerford (8 miles), while Kielder Water (from 16 miles) offers water sports and a multitude of walking and cycling paths.
