Enjoy a beautiful holiday in Motcombe, Dorset. This property would suit a small family or a group of friends, and either way the dogs are welcome! It would be ideal for enthusiastic hikers, as there’s plenty of countryside around to explore. You need only look out of the incredible bi-fold doors to see the gorgeous views. Enter the property to find a hallway leading to a cloakroom, a utility cupboard and the open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner. This room is gorgeous and receives plenty of natural light through the glass doors which overlook the patio. When the evening begins, make everything cosy with the wood burner. You’ll also have a small sitting room for quiet time, equipped with a TV and seating. Return to the hallway and follow the stairs up to the bedrooms. There’s a king-size room with a Juliette balcony, and a flexible bedroom which can either be made up as another king or a twin. The property is completed with one lovely en-suite and a family bathroom. To the rear of the property you’ll see a patio garden, enclosed by a wooden fence, overlooking the fields and woods. It’s great for an al fresco dinner, and you can grill up a storm on the double-burner gas BBQ. Adventurers are sure to have a great time exploring the Jurassic Coast, and fossil hunters should find plenty of treasure. For more recent history, you can visit the 14th-century Old Wardour Castle, 8 miles, which is a partial ruin and very beautiful. If you like hiking and biking, take a trip to the New Forest, 24 miles, where you can enjoy your favourite sports and see the ponies. For supplies, pubs and nice meals out, visit the nearby Shaftesbury (2.5 miles) for everything you need.
