A visit to The Blacksmith’s Arms is a must and offers a restaurant and bar that are ideal for retiring to for refreshments after a day exploring the area – don’t forgot that, as guests of Meadow View, you are eligible for 10% discount on the food element of your bill. Remember to pack your walking boots as there are miles of scenic footpaths to be explored from the village and beyond. Head to Skegness for some seaside air, just ten miles away, with its sandy beaches, traditional amusements, seal sanctuary and plenty of fish and chip restaurants to try or, if you prefer something a little quieter, the beautiful beaches at Anderby Creek and Sandilands are well worth visiting. Visit local market towns such as Alford (5mls), Spilsby (5mls) Louth (14mls) and Horncastle (13mls) famous for their many antiques and collectables shops and offering an abundance of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and Visitor Centre is based at Coningsby, 18 miles away, or visit East Kirkby Airfield, with its Lancaster Bomber, just 10 miles away and a must for W2 enthusiasts. National Trust property Gunby Hall house and gardens are regularly open and are just over three miles away.
