Set in the leafy grounds of a former Victorian farmhouse and with open farmland to the rear, this pleasant ground floor apartment is a cosy and comfortable holiday base less than a mile from the centre of Alnwick s market town and a third of a mile to a good pub/restaurant for evening meals after your days exploring. Discover extraordinary Alnwick Castle and Gardens, (1.2 miles). Explore independent shops, bars, and restaurants, the Alnwick Playhouse for theatre, cinema, and the arts and the much loved second hand bookstore with model trains overhead, open fires, and a café is a must. Golf lovers can play in Alnwick and the beachside course in nearby Alnmouth. Stroll on Alnmouth s beautiful beach and enjoy lunch and shopping in the pretty village. Head to Warkworth s medieval castle, beach, and river walks (6.5 miles), and Amble s harbour town for the marina, excellent seafood restaurants, and award winning High Street. Step into the hallway with a useful cloakroom where you can store your outdoor clothing and walking boot. This is a warm and cosy property with gas central heating making it a good choice all year round. A step down takes you into the lounge with plenty of comfortable seating, a bookcase with a choice of books to dip into during your stay, and the TV/DVD has a FireStick device for streaming Netflix and much more for your entertainment. The kitchen/diner is well equipped with everything you need to prepare your meals and there is a dining table and chairs. A step leads up into the bedroom with a double bed, TV, and plenty of storage space for your things. The en suite has a shower cubicle and WC and completes the accommodation. Outside, two sets of stone steps lead to the shared terraced garden. There is a tranquil seating area with a garden table and chairs where you can enjoy breakfast and a quiet drink watching the many tame birds visiting the garden.
