Bring your surfboards and wetsuits and surf the waves, or why not spend an afternoon fishing? There are some lovely villages to explore too, such as Appledore with quaint cobbled streets and a thriving quay, just 17 miles away or head to the market town of Barnstaple (8 miles) for a variety of eateries, cinema and theatre.
