Sitting on the edge of the North York Moors in the pretty village of Newton-on-Rawcliffe, this spacious cottage makes the perfect base for friends or family and their four-legged companions looking to enjoy the great outdoors and luxurious on-site facilities. With shared grounds, an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a hot tub, and a table tennis table, there’s heaps to do at this gorgeous ground-floor property. With exposed brickwork and original wooden beams, the cottage has bags of charm and comfortable, stylish interiors. Head into the spacious lounge/diner with its Smart TV and a cosy wood burner for evenings in. Prepare tasty meals in the homely kitchen and eat together at the rustic dining table and chairs. There are three bedrooms all with good storage: a double, a twin and a triple bunk bed (with a double and a single bed). There are also two bathrooms – one is a wet room and the other, a bathroom with a bath and shower over the bath. You’ll find washing machines and a tumble dryer in the shared laundry room. Outside, enjoy drinks and lunch alfresco on the benches in the shared garden, relax in the water garden beside the pond, go swimming, relax in the hot tub and sauna, and set up a table tennis league. Visit the bustling town of Pickering (5 miles) with a museum, a brewery, shops, and eateries; you can also eat out at the nearby village pub. Go for a walk at Cropton Forest (3 miles) and Dalby Forest (17 miles), where there are also exciting mountain bike trails. Catch the steam train on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Pickering for a trip through stunning scenery to the Gothic town of Whitby on the coast (18.5 miles) and have an exciting day out at Scarborough’s Luna Park (22.5 miles).
