Carlisle, The Lake District and Cumbria
Enjoy a romantic glamping experience in this stunning pod, located by the World Heritage Site of Hadrian’s Wall. As you’d expect, there are some breathtaking walks to enjoy from your front door, and further afield you’ll have the beautiful Talkin Tarn Country Park (5 miles). You’ll also be just 2.5 miles from the picturesque market town of Brampton. After a day of sightseeing, return to your cosy lodge to soak in the hot tub or sip a sundowner whilst admiring the surrounding landscape. The striking lodge sits within an enclosed, gravelled garden and is decorated in crisp whites and pastel shades, to create a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The pod has an open-plan layout, with a sleeping area to the rear with a sumptuous double bed, along with a kitchen area, and a cute table and chairs for sharing dinners for two. The stylish lounge area has a sofa to snuggle up on, and a TV for watching films together. Completing the accommodation is a separate shower room. Outside, there is a picnic table where you can dine alfresco and watch the local wildlife coming and going, before unwinding in your private hot tub. The area is a paradise for walkers, and you can set off along the Hadrian’s Wall Path directly from the property. A 10-mile hike will bring you to Birdoswald Roman Fort, which is situated on the longest continuous stretch of the wall, and a 7-mile walk takes you to Banks East Turret, which is the best-preserved watchtower on the wall. Talkin Tarn Country Park makes a fabulous day out. Explore the 120 acres of woodland, footpaths, meadows, and a vast glacial lake, followed by refreshments in the idyllic tearoom. It’s also a great place to try a whole host of water sports.
