Once part of the Lanhydrock Estate, this 18th-century stone-built cottage has been lovingly refurbished to create a romantic retreat for two, deep in the Cornish countryside. With gorgeous original features alongside modern creature comforts and a delightful patio garden housing your very own private hot tub, all the ingredients are there for a wonderful escape to the West Country. With thick stone walls and light, airy interiors, this cottage’s rural charm will sweep you off your feet as soon as you enter the door. The open-plan living space is a delightful place to spend time with loved ones, featuring white-washed walls and ceilings, inviting sofa seating and a warming wood burner to curl up alongside with a good book. The country-cottage kitchen comes with everything you need to prepare a delicious meal which can be shared at the rustic dining table. Outside, the sun-trap patio garden has everything you need to make the most of any sunny day or starry night. Take a dip in the hot tub, catch a tan on the sun loungers, relax in the summer house and light the flames on either the fire pit or BBQ provided. At the end of the day, take a relaxing soak in the spa bath in the stylish en-suite bathroom, then get a good night's sleep in the luxurious king-sized bed topped with soft white linens and plump comfortable pillows. Situated in the heart of Cornwall, glorious countryside and spectacular beaches are never far from home. Take a stroll to the beautiful Lanhydrock Estate (just over 0.5 miles), an elegant 19th-century stately home with sumptuous interiors set in stunning gardens and surrounded by scenic parkland crisscrossed by walking and biking trails. If cycling is your thing, the Camel Trail cycle path can be joined 3 miles away. This 18-mile, virtually level route begins in Bodmin and follows the course of an old railway line along the River Camel to Padstow on the coast. 7.5 miles away, a visit to the Eden Project is a must. With its incredible 'biomes' housing living landscapes from around the world, it's easy to see why the Eden Project is Cornwall's most visited attraction. For a day out at the seaside, the golden sands of Par Sands Beach are 7.5 miles away, and the picturesque harbour town of Fowey lies 9.5 miles from your door.
