Set in the attractive walkers paradise of Rothbury, in the Coquet Valley. Walk to the wide range of independent shops, friendly pubs, cafes, and restaurants and enjoy riverbank strolls, a picturesque golf course, and a children s play area, all from the doorstep. Visit Cragside House and Gardens, the UK s fascinating first ever smart home at the far end of the village. Head into the Simonside Hills (5 miles) for breath taking moorland scenery, wonderful wildlife, and views over the town. The edge of Northumberland s National Park is only 6 miles offering a wide range of walking and cycling trails. Alnwick Castle and the famous Alnwick Gardens are less than 12 miles and the stunning sandy beach in Alnmouth is 16 miles. Step inside this welcoming cottage and into a small hallway where you can hang up your coats and store your walking boots. Head through the glazed door and you are greeted by an attractively furnished open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Relax on the comfortable sofa and easy chairs in front of the warming wood burner to catch up on your day with a glass of wine. Unwind after dinner by watching your favourite movies on the Smart TV. Spend sociable time together sitting at the dining table for meals and planning your next days adventures. The kitchen is well equipped with a two ring induction hob and an electric combined oven, grill, and microwave. There is a special hot tap for making tea and coffee, as well as a kettle and a small, countertop freezer is housed in the cupboard off the lounge. Upstairs is a charming king size bedroom where you can enjoy a good night s sleep with open storage space for your belongings. There is a second bedroom which has a double bed and wardrobe. The shower room comes with a shower cubicle and WC and completes this lovely property. Outside, there is a bench seat under the kitchen window in the shared, enclosed yard. Although very small, you can catch the morning sun with your coffee or sit under the string of solar lights with your cocoa before bedtime. Free parking is on street (subject to availability) and there is a free car park five minutes walk from the cottage (500 metres).
