From here head out to explore the dramatic Jurassic Coast on foot, bask in the sunshine on the beach, 0.5 miles away, and visit Lyme Regis, 3 miles away. Let yourselves into your enticing retreat to find its tasteful decor creates a welcoming ambience. Make fresh coffee in the machine then settle in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to watch the Smart TV, read your books or chat about your day. Prepare delicious dinners for two in the stylish kitchen then dine together at the table before climbing the oak stairs up to your beautiful king-size bedroom, with its vaulted ceiling. Up on the mezzanine level, this comes complete with a small, free-standing bath and a shower, plus an en-suite WC. There is no outside space here, but guests will enjoy being able to stroll down to the beach. There is space for one car to park. Potter on the village beach, which is said to be one of the best places in the country for finding fossils. Keen walkers might like to pick up the South West Coast Path from Charmouth and attempt the 7-mile stretch to West Bay, taking them up to the summit of the spectacular Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast, along the way. Make trips into Lyme Regis to potter in its colourful shops and dine out in its cafes and pubs. The beach here is popular and there are opportunities for water sports and fishing. Book a boat trip out on the open sea, visit the museum and take part in a fossil-hunting tour.
