Sleeping four guests, and also welcoming one canine companion, the two-bedroom abode is perfectly positioned for reaching both Lake Windermere, about 6 miles away, and Coniston Water, about 4 miles away. With beautiful gardens and impressive, far-reaching views, the secluded cottage could be ideal for anyone seeking tranquillity and natural beauty. Let yourselves into this delightful, character retreat through the sunroom, leaving your outerwear here as you pass through. Find yourselves in the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner, where you can light the wood burner and switch on the Smart TV as you make a cup of tea or prepare a delicious meal to enjoy at the table. Find you have a dishwasher to make clearing up easy and a washing machine for rinsing through any holiday clothing. Take a step down into the light-filled lounge, which has a high ceiling and another wood burner to bask beside. Wander upstairs to enjoy the stunning views and lay your head down in one of the two double bedrooms. A family bathroom and a shower room are also up here. Spill out into the garden to savour the peace and quiet. Dine out here too and watch the children play on the grass. Find you have parking for two cars at the cottage. Head to Coniston Water to pick up a section of the Cumbria Way, taking you along the western side of the lake. Venture 9.5 miles to Coniston to browse in the shops and visit the museum, which tells the story of the area and the water speed records and attempts made on the lake. Drive 6 miles to Lakeside to board a cruise out on Lake Windermere.
