A hiker's paradise at the heart of the Lake District National Park, this fabulous cottage offers a restful, rejuvenating base for those seeking outdoor adventure. Whether you're aiming to hike local fells, try water sports on the area's lakes, or simply admire the charming villages scattered around, this cosy abode is a wonderful place to return to after each day's activities. The three-bedroom cottage accommodates five, making it perfect for families. It's also extremely pet-friendly, with a generous supply of dog essentials provided to ensure your stay is effortless. Functionality, comfort, and design blend seamlessly in this enviable retreat. On arrival, you'll notice outdoor hosepipes for washing muddy boots and paws before stepping into the utility space, perfect for storing outdoor equipment. Once you're ready to unwind, step into the welcoming lounge, complete with a wood burner, board games, and a Smart TV for entertainment. The well-equipped kitchen is adjacent, and you can choose to dine indoors around the dining table, or outdoors in the suntrap garden. Three bedrooms are upstairs, two with pretty window seats for enjoying countryside views. The family bathroom completes this floor, offering the choice of a shower or bath. At the bottom of the garden, find Force Beck, a scenic spot for paddling or picnicking in the sunshine (children and dogs must be supervised at all times). An external, heated barn boasts storage, laundry facilities and an extra fridge/freezer. The property backs onto the impressive ancient woodland of Grizedale Forest, where you can lace up your walking boots to discover magnificent scenery and abundant wildlife without venturing far. About 4.5 miles away, Coniston Water is a tranquil lake with impeccable walking routes all around it, plus options for water sports and boat rides. From the water's edge, you can admire the scenery of the Old Man of Coniston, a fell located around 10 miles away (distance to car park). Hike to the top to reach the highest point of the Lake's Furness Fells.
