Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, this stunning property offers elegant holiday accommodation for up to ten guests. Making a wonderful retreat for larger families and groups of friends, this superb Georgian house has been sympathetically updated throughout. With the lakes of Loweswater, Buttermere and Crummock Water all within easy reach and the peaks of Grasmoor, Mellbreak and Blake Fell all nearby, the house makes a great base for eager walkers, hikers, cyclists and nature lovers discovering this spellbinding and secluded part of the Lake District. Double doors lead into the imposing entrance hall and through to the lounge. With a Smart TV and a welcoming wood burner, this light and airy room is ideal for relaxing in at the end of a great day out. Featuring a breakfast bar, a formal dining table and a wide range of equipment, the stylishly designed kitchen/diner is perfect for enjoying a celebratory meal together. The ground floor also has some useful drying spaces and the first of the property’s five peaceful bedrooms: a super-king-size room. The remaining four are upstairs: two en-suite king-size bedrooms, each with a double-ended claw-foot bath, and two twin rooms. There are also two handy shower rooms, one on each floor. Outside, the gardens feature large lawns and a woodland area with a stream trickling through. A raised terrace offers glorious views and makes a wonderful spot for outdoor dining. Climbers can head to the peaks of Mellbreak and Grasmoor (both within 3 miles) or you can enjoy long walks around Loweswater, Crummock Water and Buttermere (all within 5 miles). Other local attractions include Whinlatter Forest Park, Scale Force Waterfall, the Lake District Wildlife Park and the bustling towns of Cockermouth and Keswick (all within 12 miles).
