A hiker and biker’s base in the undisturbed village of Ravenstonedale, this cosy cottage invites endless exploration of the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District close by (15 miles). Filled with characterful nooks and crannies, this bijou cottage is teeming with character and is extremely comfortable for four guests. It’s dog-friendly with a handy outbuilding providing space to store bikes and a spot for cleaning off muddy paws and fur, leaving you free to discover the dramatic countryside scenes surrounding the property with no fear of bringing paw prints into the neat and tidy house or struggling to find spots to park your bikes safely. Wrought-iron beds, stone-flagged flooring and original wooden beams add to the historic charm of this end-terrace place. Step inside and get warm by the wood burner in the lounge. With ample comfortable seating and a Smart TV, this is a room to curl up in when the temperature drops. There’s a kitchen/diner just next door, ideal for preparing a hearty dinner for fuelling up in between hikes and rides. The first of the bedrooms, a lovely twin, is located downstairs with steep cottage steps leading onto the king-size bedroom and refreshing bathroom just upstairs.
