Head off from the base on exciting excursions. Make the most of your position less than 300 metres from the shores of Ullswater to follow the 20-mile route right around the lake. Wander less than 1 mile to Glenridding to board a steamboat and enjoy a lake cruise, with stops along the way for exploring Lakeland beauty spots. Climb the steep external stairs and let yourselves into this welcoming holiday home, with its incredible views. Find yourselves in the kitchen/diner, where you should find a welcome pack and all the equipment you need to assist you when cooking with the ingredients you have bought on your trips out. Put the kettle on in here for a cup of tea at the table, where you can gaze out at the views before you start to prepare dinner. Light the wood burner on chilly days and bask in its warmth. Dine together at the table too then wander through to the lounge to fire up the wood burner in there as well: watch TV, discuss your plans or even play a game or two before bed.
