The stunning vistas of the Newlands Valley offer miles of memorable walks and bike rides, with a lovely choice of pubs in quaint villages like Braithwaite (3 miles) along the way to provide a well-earned rest. The lakes of Derwentwater (3 miles east), Buttermere and Crummock Water (both 4.5 miles west) are nearby, offering glorious views and plenty of opportunities for water sports and cruises. Local landmarks include the Bowder Stone (6 miles), Honister Slate Mine (8 miles), Whinlatter Forest Park (5 miles) and the Lake District Wildlife Park (10 miles). The market town of Keswick (5.5 miles) has plenty of pubs and restaurants, and is home to the Theatre by the Lake, Puzzling Place and the Derwent Pencil Museum. On entering this light and charming ground-floor apartment, you will find the refreshing and inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner.
