Located on a cobbled lane near the high street, this wonderful three-bedroom cottage in the heart of Swanage is an ideal base to take in the picturesque sights of the town and beaches. Alongside enjoying the many waterfront cafes, bars and restaurants, you can make the most of stunning coastal walks and rich local history that Swanage has to offer. From the stone pier, take advantage of boat trips for spectacular views of the Jurassic Coast, England’s first natural UNESCO World Heritage Site. For views out to sea, a 400 metre walk across the park by the cottage takes you to wonderful clifftop views across Swanage Bay. The famous Durlston Country Park and Nature Reserve is just 1 mile away and, for those who like to explore by walking further afield, can join the historic Priests Way footpath through the scenic Dorset countryside to Worth Matravers (3 miles), with more breathtaking clifftop views along the way. The central town location means you can take the heritage line steam train from Swanage station to Corfe Castle (6 miles). From Swanage, the golden beaches of Studland Bay are 4 miles away, and Bournemouth 25 miles. Step into the cottage and you are greeted by the cosy lounge with inviting sofas, TV and open fire for evenings relaxing. Continue through to the light and airy open-plan kitchen/diner which is well-equipped with everything you need for your stay. The dining area encourages get-togethers to enjoy mealtimes with plenty of seating around the table. Access to the garden is through the patio doors. Go upstairs to the first floor for the three bedrooms, a king-size main bedroom, a twin zip-and-link bedroom and a third bedroom with bunk beds. The main bathroom with a WC and a shower over the bath completes upstairs.The outdoors of the cottage boasts two separate seating areas. The rear courtyard features an outdoor dining set for enjoying alfresco dining, while the garden area to the side of the house is perfect for relaxing or a tipple while enjoying the evening sun surrounded by flowers. Roadside parking is nearby (subject to availability), and a long stay car park a bit further away.
