Little Urswick, lies on side of a tarn, a wonderful wildlife habitat with a whole host of water birds occupying its sheltered corner. Birkrigg Stone Circle (4 miles) is one of several prehistoric settlement sites in the surrounding countryside, and the start of the Haematite and Cumbrian Way footpaths can be found a similar distance away. The ancient market town of Ulverston is just 2 miles away, and still has a street market every Thursday and Saturday, plus many festivals throughout the year, including an amazing lantern procession in September and a superb Dickensian weekend in early December. With all the attractions of the Lake District National Park, beaches, and good birdwatching of the Furness coast close by, this peaceful and quiet area has plenty to offer. This property dates to 1658 and still retains a lot of the original features from the lovely oak beams to the old-style flooring and layout.

Upon walking through the front door, you will see the thought and effort the owners have gone to restore this property to its former glory, while adding a modern feel. The lounge area is the hub of the house with a corner sofa and armchair where you can enjoy relaxing in front of the wood-burner whilst watching a film on the Smart TV.
