Make cherished memories with your loved ones at this gorgeous, detached farmhouse just outside the pretty town of Holywell. Sleeping eight people across four bedrooms, it’s the ideal option for large groups or families in search of a luxurious cottage to call home while they explore the historic towns of North Wales together. Spend a happy morning seeing the watermills at Greenfield Valley Heritage Park before heading off to hike along Offa’s Dyke in the afternoon. In the evening, soak up the estuary views from the cottage’s corner sun deck, before firing up the BBQ to cook up a feast for your loved ones. Step inside this 19th century farmhouse and you’ll find a stylish, rustic interior with magnificent exposed wooden beams and period features throughout. Make yourself at home by the wood burner in the living room before heading to the country-style kitchen to whip up some dinner. Gather everyone together in the elegant dining room to eat. Alternatively, make your way to the impressive outdoor kitchen and fire up the BBQ. Dine alfresco and then take a relaxing dip in the outdoor hot tub, or head back indoors to chill out by the wood burner in the cosy snug. At the end of the day, there are three stylish bedrooms upstairs to choose from – two doubles and a twin - as well as an additional double that’s accessed from the garden. It’s ideal if you like a little privacy. Take a relaxing stroll along Holywell High Street (2.5 miles) to browse the galleries and indulge in some sweet treats in a cosy cafe. Then, stop by St Winifride’s Holy Well, a Grade I-listed building believed to be the oldest visited pilgrimage site in Britain. Alternatively, climb the tower at Basingwerk Abbey (3 miles) to see stunning panoramic views over the North Wales landscape.
