On approaching the cottage via the steps, appreciate the pretty stone exterior, which hints at the delights within. You can also explore the southern Peak District from here, where limestone plateaus and ravines make up the White Peak. Popular with visitors, Bakewell and Chatsworth House are within 16 miles.
