This coastal bolthole enjoys a peaceful location in one of the most scenic parts of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Enjoy dramatic coastal walks from your front door, or spend the day soaking up the sunshine on the sandy beach (1.5 miles). The property sleeps four guests, making it ideal for couples and small families, and has a beautiful, wrap-around garden for relaxing in after a day of exploring. The charming holiday home has a rustic, country-cottage vibe, with exposed stone walls, tiled floors, and traditional furniture. Enter via the kitchen/diner, with its beamed ceiling and garden views, to discover a sociable space with a dining table and all the equipment needed for a self-catering break. After a hearty meal, head into the cosy lounge to read a book in the glow of the wood burner or watch TV. Completing the ground floor is a handy utility/boot room. An L-shaped staircase leads to the first floor and the two inviting bedrooms, along with the large family bathroom. An enclosed garden wraps around the front and side of the cottage, and features a patio area for al fresco dining and a lawn where children and dogs can play. Newport has a good selection of places to eat, including cosy pubs and cute cafes. The scenic town is also a magnet for artists, and you’ll find several studios and galleries showcasing local talent. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path passes through the town, offering fantastic walking opportunities, and there’s also a long, sandy beach. From Newport, enjoy a day trip to Britain’s smallest city – St Davids – which is 24 miles along the coast. Admire its fascinating, 12th-century cathedral, marvel at the artwork in Oriel y Parc Gallery, or take a boat trip to explore the wild, off-shore islands.
