1 Bedroom Bed in Beaulieu (78767)

Enjoy a unique stay in boutique hotel-style accommodation at this bijou holiday home for two beside the Beaulieu River. Originally built as a bathhouse for the great and the good to take the waters, this historic thatched property makes a great base from which to explore the New Forest, indulge in water sports and simply gaze out across the water. Enjoy the pretty gardens and covered veranda and take one canine companion with you, if you choose. Approach the 18th-century property through a boatyard and via a shared driveway. Follow the path into the exquisite house and find yourself in the modern kitchen, where there’s a step up into the bathroom. Enjoy a romantic dinner at the table in the large lounge then relax in front of the Smart TV or listen to the Bluetooth radio. Make your way through to the charming double bedroom as night falls. Step out into the cottage gardens on warm days to enjoy meals out in the fresh air and sunshine. There’s also a handy outside utility room, with a freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The cottage sits right in the middle of its pretty gardens, which include an unenclosed pond where guests should keep an eye on children and dogs. There is parking approximately 100 metres from the cottage. Grab your rucksack and head straight off on forest walks and cycle rides from the cottage. Enjoy canoeing or kayaking on the river or drive 3 miles to the Beaulieu Estate to spend time at Beaulieu Abbey. Visit the National Motor Museum and Palace House while you are there. Or, venture 8.5 miles to visit the market town of Lymington and book a trip over to the Isle of Wight.
