All about this philosophy, this three-bedroom retreat in West Bay is only 0.5 miles from the coast, where a huge pebbly beach stretches all the way to the Isle of Portland. Gather up your friends and family (there’s room for up to six people and two dogs) and look forward to unparalleled adventures throughout the year. From the porch, step inside the hallway, shaking off shoes and coats, and make your way to the kitchen for a brew. A light-filled space decorated in neutral tones, you will find everything you could need here for foodie preparations and a dining room next door for tucking in. A lovely bonus, a door from the dining room leads you onto the terrace and garden beyond (home to an unfenced pond), perfect for balmy summer afternoons. As the youngsters tear off to the games room later in the evening, congregate in the lounge to relax in front of the wood burner and Smart TV. When you are ready to bed down, you will find the three bedrooms (along with a bathroom) on the first floor. So close to the beach, days by the shore will be a natural choice with bucket and spade at the ready. Paddle your toes in the water or hire a canoe and explore the coast by sea. To reenergise after your adventures, West Bay (0.5 miles) is home to great eateries, as is Burton Bradstock (1.5 miles). For a further choice of pubs and restaurants, as well as shopping opportunities, head to Bridport (1.5 miles). From picnics on the beach and fish and chips on the cliffs to evenings at your home-from-home, this is a haven for all generations.
