The Nordic/rustic vibe is taken to a new level in this stylish lodge, which includes all the home comforts you could need. Take the steps up to the veranda and enter the L-shaped living space. The kitchen, with an American-style fridge/freezer, is designed to make large-scale catering straightforward, and there’s a long dining table adjacent where everyone can gather for celebratory meals. The lounge area includes a variety of seating and a Smart TV with Sky, ideal for movie nights together. Also on the ground floor are a utility room with a washing machine and a shower room. Take the open-tread stairs to the huge first-floor landing, where you’ll find two chair beds for additional guests. On this level there are also two king-size bedrooms, sharing a shower room and a veranda with views and a hammock. The double bedroom, which has a low, sloping ceiling on both sides, is on the top floor, along with twin beds on the landing, perfect for children, that are also tucked under a low, sloping ceiling. The outside space includes a hot tub and dining area on the decking, relaxed seating and a quirky ‘doghouse’ for your canine companions. The lodge is on the outskirts of the village of Great Ayton, just 2 miles from local landmark Roseberry Topping, moments from the North York Moors National Park, and surrounded by scenic walks. For tea rooms, restaurants and interesting shops you can reach the quaint village of Stokesley in 3.5 miles, while the beach at Saltburn is just 11.5 miles.
