Whether you want to spend your days learning to surf, building sandcastles or relaxing in the sunshine, this beachside getaway is perfect for a fabulous break as a small family or couple. Welcoming, spacious and well equipped, the apartment also has an enclosed garden where you can enjoy al fresco meals on balmy evenings. Set on the ground floor of a large property, the apartment has stylish, co-ordinated decor with nautical touches. The double-aspect lounge/diner includes a sofa bed for additional guests and comfortable seating gathered around a flame-effect electric fire and a Smart TV with Sky and a DVD player. Set up celebratory meals at the round table by the bay window that looks out over the front garden. The separate kitchen, with ample cupboard and worktop space includes a cute breakfast bar for two. The family shower room is accessed through the kitchen. When you’re ready for bed, there’s a king-size bedroom and a sweet bunk bedroom, both with TVs. For a morning coffee in the fresh air or an al fresco evening meal, head out to the decked terrace, which is enclosed but has a gate leading to the cliffs behind. Just steps from Filey’s expansive beach, the property is around 1.5 miles along the coastal path to the seaside fishing village itself. Here you’ll find interesting buildings, a historic promenade and a variety of shops to explore. Take a step back in time and enjoy traditional fish and chips, ice cream and amusement arcades. Water sports are on offer for anyone feeling adventurous, while walkers will enjoy the Cleveland Way - a long-distance trail through the moors and along the coast. Spot rare sea birds, including puffins and gannets, or perhaps go fossil hunting on Filey Brigg. If you fancy a change of scenery, head to Scarborough or Bridlington (both within 10 miles).
