Just steps from the beach and close to the shops and eateries of popular Filey, it’s a great location for a peaceful coastal escape, with plenty to do nearby for all ages. You’ll reach the property by taking the 17 external steps to your front porch, and then enter into the bright kitchen/diner. This welcoming space boasts all you need to whip up memorable holiday meals, to be enjoyed at the nearby dining table with space for all. After a hearty supper, head into the spacious lounge, where you can get competitive over board games or relax in front of the Smart TV, which boasts both Sky and Netflix. One of the sofas doubles as a bed, and there’s a separate bedroom with a king-size and a single bed, plus ample storage and a TV. Serving the household is a well-appointed family bathroom. The shared, lawned garden includes picnic benches and a wooden children’s toy train – the ideal place to while away a sunny evening as the little ones play. The apartment is set above Filey’s long, sandy beach and is just a 1.5-mile walk along the coast path from the seaside village itself. Renowned for its Edwardian architecture, historic promenade and nostalgic atmosphere, Filey boasts some lovely shops and an array of places to eat, including traditional fish and chips and ice-cream parlours. Adventure-seekers may want to have a go at some water sports, or you could hike part of the Cleveland Way - try your luck fossil hunting or look out for rare sea birds, including puffins, gannets and kittiwakes. For a fun day trip, head to Scarborough or Bridlington, both only 9.5 miles away.
