For couples and small families, this blissful retreat is a great base from which to explore. Its cosy, characterful features are sure to make this a break to remember, with dramatic exposed beams across the walls and ceilings, as well as private balconies with far-reaching views. Situated at the foot of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the scenery here is spectacular, with a pretty route along the River Dee accessible within a mile offering a serene pathway for a walk with your dog. As you step inside you’re welcomed by the open-plan living room/dining room/games room with wonderful cushy seating and a dining table for four offering versatility within the space. The pool table is fantastic for a spot of competitive evening entertainment, and the TV is great for chilly nights when you simply want to curl up and watch a film. Next door, the galley-style kitchen is compact yet cleverly designed to maximise on space and give you all you could need to cook up a feast for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Completing the ground is a double bedroom with a balcony overlooking the serene countryside. Upstairs, the master bedroom is a characterful space with matching solid-wood furniture including a desk and drawers, and a glorious king-size bed set against a feature wall. Moving on to the bathroom, you’ll love a long soak in the bubble bath after a long day out exploring which will set you up for a good night’s rest. At the rear of the property is a lawn and patio area which boasts fantastic views thanks to its elevated position. For a day out, why not visit Bala? Located just 12 miles away, it’s a hub of outdoor activity and rich in culture. Home to the largest natural lake in Wales and the Bala Lake Railway, you’ll have a multitude of options to choose from on how best to explore. Avid walkers will be in heaven with what’s on offer, from adventures at Moel Morfydd (9 miles) to World’s End (13 miles) and Vivod Mountain (10 miles). Despite many of them offering challenging pathways, you’ll certainly be rewarded with the viewpoints and array of wildlife along the way.
