2 Bedroom Bed in Taddington (76505)

If you’re looking for a romantic bolthole that’s surrounded by spectacular scenery, or a rural retreat where you and your nearest and dearest can relax after a day of paddleboarding, you can’t go wrong with this semi-detached cottage in the village of Taddington. Conveniently located midway between Buxton and Bakewell, it’s easy to discover every corner of the Peak District National Park from this traditional stone cottage. Spend your days hiking up to Monsal Head or wild swimming at Three Shires Head, and your evenings enjoying quality time with your loved ones in front of the roaring wood burner. Sleeping three people across two bedrooms and welcoming one dog, this lovely cottage retains all of its original charm. Kick off your day with a coffee in the garden, where you’ll find a bench up some steps on the higher level of the split-level courtyard. After an invigorating day in the national park, return to the cottage, step into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, and cook up a feast. Enjoy your meal at the dining table, or head outside to the picnic bench on the sunken level of the garden and dine alfresco. After dinner, crack open a bottle of something cool and crisp in the courtyard, or head inside to put your feet up in front of the wood burner. When the day is done, make your way up the open metal staircase to the first floor and you’ll find two wonderful bedrooms. Take a rewarding 6.5-mile circular hike from Taddington to Monsal Head, one of the most famous and photographed viewpoints in Derbyshire. At the Monsal Head viewpoint, you’ll find benches where you can sit and watch the sunset. Alternatively, take a picturesque dip at Three Shires Head (13 miles), a collection of pools and waterfalls located where Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire meet.
