The house sits in the ruggedly gorgeous area of moorland where many species of bird reside take a scenic walk along the River Ayr way to discover these wonderful animals in their natural habitat. For more cosmopolitan pursuits, head to Cumnock, a historic town nestled around the meeting place of the Glaisnock and Lugar Waters. Or, if there are keen golfers in your party, several magnificent golf courses, including Turnberry and Troon lay within 40 miles, perfect for a day trip. Arrive at the property through miles of unobserved countryside. Tucked away amid the fields, it appears as a gorgeous, grass roofed mirage. Inside, cabin like rooms offer cosy, sociable space a living room with an open fire and a plethora of sofas, a kitchen, drawing room, and dining room, so you can gather together and enjoy telling tales of your day. On the same level, the bedrooms offer a variety of hideaways for every guest, including one family bedroom in each wing of the house, with a double, and single bed ideal for growing families. Each bedroom is clad with wood with delightful rustic details, so you'll really feel like you're out in the sticks. Outside, there's ample space to enjoy the great outdoors at your feet. With a massive decked area wrapping the property, with picnic furniture for al fresco dining, and a private garden, you'll be able to bring the party into the fresh air.

Mobile signal limited. 4 dogs welcome but not in the months of April, May & June due to lambing and nesting. Open fire logs included. Free Salmon & Trout Fishing with 2 permits provided. Dumfries House 20 mins away by car. Parking available at front of property. Please note, group bookings may be checked to ensure the purpose of the stay is for a holiday. Property is only suitable for Families.
