About This Property
Oc 38132 Lilybank Cottage is a 3 bedroom dog friendly property
The Cowal Peninsula is a treasure chest of unique splendour, and this delightful rural residence is one of its many bright gems. Set amidst splendid scenery at the end of a private track, as you approach you'll immediately feel the stresses of the everyday world melt away. Beach, hill, heather, river and sea, this gorgeous tine of Argyll has them all. With superb views across to Arran, Ostel Bay Beach (8.5 miles) is remote and ravishing; stop for a cream tea at Kilbride Farm Cafe. Portavadie (6 miles) is home to an impressive marina and marvellous shops, bars and eateries. Explore the sapphire waters with Fyne Sea Tours, based in Cairndow (5.5 miles); discover the multi-coloured charms of Tarbert, Arran's splendiferous delights, the seven castles of Loch Fyne, the breathtaking Burnt Isles and pretty Caladh Harbour.
Lots of love and care have been lavished on this heavenly cottage. You and your friends or family will love the traditional charm, from the old oak settles in the kitchen and hallway to the lounge's open fireplace and the south-facing, wood-lined conservatory with its semi-panoramic vistas. The double and twin downstairs bedrooms are fresh and bright; the twin has a shower room next to it. Unwind in a steaming bath before savouring delicious local seafood in the conservatory and spilling out into the garden for sunset drinks. Up a spiral staircase, the second twin bedroom offers a sweet secret den, with starlit views to lull excited minds to sleep.
Outside, find your own piece of Shangri La amidst mature trees and shrubs, woodland and river, upon wide lawns and the paved terrace or lounging on the decking as the sun sinks beyond Loch Fyne. It's a little piece of heaven.
