Hartington is an incredibly well served village with many amenities including pubs, cafes, shops, delicatessen, local cheese shop, post office and more. From the cottage, some of the best walks in Derbyshire can be found so don’t forget your walking boots. Situated at the gateway to the Dales and in the heart of the Peak District National Park which is the perfect place to enjoy long walks, leisurely bike rides or horse riding in the quiet Derbyshire countryside. The High Peak and Tissington Trail are within easy reach with cycle hire, alongside is Carsington Water for sailing and water sports. Chatsworth, the medieval Haddon Hall or in contrast Alton Towers theme park and spa can all be easily reached. Buxton, renowned for its Opera House and Pavilion Gardens, is also a short drive away.

Heading upstairs to the first floor to the double bedroom which is decorated with cool pastel blue tones and features a stylish brass bed, one you won’t want to leave. The twin bedroom is pretty in pink and is complimented with stylish soft furnishings and a little window seat to pause and ponder whilst gazing into the cottage garden. There is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC, so you can enjoy a hot bubble bath after a day hiking the nearby hills.

There is a table and chairs on the lawn with nearby charcoal BBQ, surrounded by pretty planting, perfect for enjoying the summer sun.
