The cottage has a shower room on the ground floor, as well as a bathroom on the first floor for convenience. Outside, the courtyard features a table and chairs for a spot of al fresco dining during sunny weather. You could spend time soaking up the scenery at Tretower Court and Castle (3 miles), a marvellous medieval manor house with a great little cafe. Challenge yourself to an active adventure and scale the summit of Sugar Loaf Mountain (13 miles) where on a clear day, you will see Pen Cerrig-Calch, the River Severn, the Forest of Dean and Pen y Fan. For a more relaxing afternoon, visit the pretty towns and villages within the national park, including historic Crickhowell (7 miles) and the beautiful book town of Hay-on-Wye (14 miles).
