3 Bedroom Bed in Harbottle (75083)

Nestled in a quintessential village on the cusp of the Northumberland National Park, this cottage is perfect for families and groups looking to get reacquainted with the great outdoors. Known for being a Dark Sky Reserve, you’ll be well placed to view the constellations with a nocturnal walk around the park, equipped with a flask of hot chocolate and a torch in hand. Sleeping six, your accommodation is a welcome sight after a busy day, especially when you light the wood burner and open a bottle of wine. The cottage has beamed ceilings, exposed stone fireplaces and a decor that’s in keeping with the building’s old-world charm. Classic furniture matches the traditional ambience, whether you are settled in front of a film in the lounge or sitting down to breakfast in the kitchen/diner. Both rooms are kept pleasingly warm thanks to the wood burners, and your morning will be off to an excellent start with a coffee from the Nespresso machine in the kitchen. Pamper yourself in the downstairs bathroom before retiring for the night to one of three upstairs bedrooms, choosing from an attractive king-size, a double, or a twin. There is also an upstairs shower room. Outside, you’ll have sole use of a pretty seating area, and to the rear of the property is the local pub’s beer garden complete with an outdoor pizzeria for the nights you don’t feel like cooking. Roadside parking is subject to availability. The village of Harbottle is an excellent destination for soaking up local history with the Drake Stone and the ruins of Harbottle Castle on its doorstep, not to mention miles of countryside walks including part of the Pennine Way. The River Coquet is excellent for fishing, or why not take a stroll along its banks to soak up the impressive scenery?
