Westward Ho! is one of the best beaches in North Devon for surfing and surf schools are in abundance, if you want to learn to ride the waves. For keen walkers, the South West Coast Path is within easy reach, and it’s also worth visiting Appledore (1.5 miles) and Instow (4 miles). The quirky village of Clovelly, with its famous cobbled streets, is just 13 miles away, and top family attractions The Big Sheep and The Milky Way are 2 and 9 miles away respectively.
