A beautiful former schoolhouse that has been thoughtfully restored into a romantic bolthole for two in the pretty village of Saxlingham. Escape with your loved one and your two canine companions and enjoy scenic walks and cycling routes through the Norfolk countryside before relaxing of an evening in front of the open fire, or exploring the vast grounds this property has to offer. Stepping inside this delightful and welcoming home, find a bright and spacious open-plan living space which boasts a high-beamed ceiling and a warming open fire. Get cosy on the welcoming sofas and flick on the Smart TV for a chilled evening watching your favourite film. A handy dining table is provided where you can sit and tuck into tasty meals or play a board game of an evening. Cook up delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen which has colourful cupboards and is a charming place to make food. A contemporary style bathroom has a shower over the bath and a WC. When you are ready for some sleep, climb the stairs to the double bedroom set underneath the eaves (with reduced head height – please take care). Immediately outside this cottage is a patio area containing a table and chairs and further afield is a vast meadow area which is home to a wide mix of wildlife. Saxlingham sits on the cusp of the Norfolk Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is close to the popular Blakeney National Nature Reserve (3 miles) and Salthouse Beach (6 miles). Head to Holt (4 miles) where you will find eateries, shops and a 100-acre country park, or stroll along the stunning Norfolk Coast Path which passes scenic views.
