This fantastic property, situated in the stunning Shropshire countryside between Cleehill (3.5 miles) and Cleobury Mortimer (3 miles), is perfect for big families or groups of friends looking for a holiday close to the England-Wales border. Sleeping eight adults and four children across four beautiful bedrooms, this stunning home retains many of its original features and makes for a truly relaxing holiday. Spend time playing lawn games in the grounds, swim in the private indoor swimming pool or challenge your guests to pool and darts in the games room – you’ll find it hard to tear yourself away from here. Step into the property into the dining hall where you’re greeted with amazing double-height vaulted ceilings, huge windows and a bright and airy contemporary feel. Cook up a storm in the stylish kitchen or chat to the chef at the island as they cook before sitting down at the table that has plenty of space for everyone. Off the kitchen there’s a handy utility room. After dinner, move to the lounge through the original wooden sliding door; pop your favourite film on the Smart TV, light the wood burner and get cosy amongst rich purple hues and charming finishing touches. There’s a super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom on the ground floor, complete with its own TV and en-suite wet room, which is wonderfully colour-coordinated and can be made into a twin on request. Up the hand-crafted wooden stairs, three more super-king-size bedrooms await; all can be made into twins. The first benefits from stunning vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, a Juliet balcony looking out over the hills and built-in bunk beds, making it ideal for families. There’s also a sleek en-suite shower room. The second room has a fabulous recessed TV area and a window seat where you can unwind among the views, while the en-suite shower room with exposed bricks awaits up a short flight of stairs. The final bedroom has more of those exposed beams, calming neutral decor and bunk beds, plus a spacious en-suite bathroom with separate shower. Spend afternoons sizzling up the BBQ on the patio by the swimming pool, watching as the children splash away; there’s a separate toilet and shower and wine cooler here for your summer drinks. Plus the games room below the pool has underfloor heating, Wi-Fi and a pool table and darts board, making it the perfect hideaway for teenagers. Head off to Croft Castle (17 miles) for a day of history, walks in the parkland and fun in the play areas. Wander around Arley Arboretum (19.5 miles), or hop aboard the Severn Valley Railway (16 miles) for a trip along the River Severn between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. Don’t forget Leominster (18.5 miles) with its range of antique shops, and Ludlow (9.5 miles) that holds a food and drink festival every September.
