Knaresborough, Yorkshire Dales

4 Bedroom Bed in Knaresborough (HH090)

Experience a fairy-tale break at this unique tower house in scenic North Yorkshire. Sleeping six guests, the unusual, four-bedroom castellated turret is situated at the heart of Knaresborough, overlooking the historic castle and River Nidd. Arranged across three storeys, it is ideal for spending time in Knaresborough and Harrogate and is well-positioned for walks in Nidderdale and days out to the Yorkshire Dales. Climb the stone steps to enter and discover an abundance of appealing features. The Grade II-listed abode still presents original beams, fireplaces, and brickwork, yet also ensures a cosy welcome. The large lounge/diner is the perfect place to gather to play games, watch TV and enjoy meals. You can also open French doors here to step out to a special seating area within the cliff face. Ascend the stairs halfway to the kitchen, where you will find everything you need to help you cater for your party. With gorgeous wooden work surfaces, a breakfast bar and a flagstone floor, this room offers both character and practicality. A WC is also here. Follow more stairs up to a landing with a single bedroom, and a double with a Juliet balcony with river views. Another double and single can be found on the top floor of the property, along with a beautiful family bathroom with a roll-top bath. This cottage has a raised garden that can be accessed via outside steps or a door at the first-floor level. There is also a spectacular roof terrace with far-reaching views but this is not suitable for children or dogs. Stroll just 150 metres to see Mother Shipton’s Cave on the other side of the river. Wander 500 metres along the river banks to the castle. Plan a trip to RHS Garden Harlow Carr, 4.5 miles away.
