The property is perfectly situated in a delightful countryside setting, one mile from the edge of Dartmoor National Park, famed for its spectacular walks and scenery and boasting some of the best, and most affordable, wild brown trout fishing in the country. For dining, there are good traditional country pubs or if a celebration is on the cards then Michelin star dining is less than 20 minutes away. With great transport links nearby you are less than half an hour away from Exeter with its airport and mainline railway station and within an easy drive of popular tourist destinations of the south coast and the unspoilt villages along the northern coastline. Other attractions within easy reach include Okehampton Castle, the Miniature Pony Centre, Crealy Adventure Park Devon, Go Ape Haldon Forest Park, numerous National Trust properties. The Tarka Trail can be accessed on foot or bike from the property via the long private driveway and quiet lanes. Step inside this pretty property and you will find yourself in the lovely light and airy kitchen/breakfast room. Outside and approached via a flight of steps to the side of the property is the large, dog friendly enclosed cottage garden. This great space offers a large lawn, gravel patio area with garden furniture and a gas BBQ, and a fabulous spacious summer house with comfortable furniture; the perfect place to unwind with a good book, watch the many wild birds that flock to visit the adjoining cornfields, or even catch up on your yoga. Private off road parking for two cars is provided directly outside the property.
