This substantial double-fronted cottage is right in the heart of Polruan on the eastern shore of the Fowey River's natural harbour and has plenty of room for a large family or group. Ideally placed near to the waterfront, it's just a short stroll to enjoy views across the harbour to Fowey village, a short ferry trip away. On your doorstep is the Polperro Heritage Coast section of the South West Coast Path, with spectacular clifftop walks and scenery. The main impression on stepping inside is of substantial comfort and care taken to create a harmonious space. Warm colours, maritime details and natural materials complement each other, and the large windows let in plenty of seaside light. You'll love the living room with lots of lounging space for family time together. Behind the house, there is a conservatory with more seating and an alternative dining table, and outside, the garden is private and enclosed, with seating ideal for al fresco meals or tranquil sundowners. A general shop is just opposite Summer Cottage, and a 150-metre walk brings you to the waterfront with cafes, pub, quay and the village beach. Hop on the frequent ferry for Fowey's speciality shops, art galleries and a wide choice of restaurants and pubs, plus water activities like kayaking or sea angling. Enjoy a beautiful walk to Bodinnick (3 miles on foot) for a delicious pub lunch. Further afield, picturesque Polperro, with its fascinating smuggling history, is 6 miles away, or St Austell's famous brewery (16 miles away) offers tours and tastings.
