Please note that both rooms on the top floor, reached via a cottage-style staircase, have sloping ceilings and reduced head-height. Stay local to explore Motcombe park and lake, visit Manor Gardens, and refuel at the 12th-century pub or one of the independent cafes. Eastbourne town centre offers a vibrant shopping experience, theatre and Towner Art Gallery, and down on the 3-mile wide shingle beach you can explore the Lifeboat Museum and historic Wish Tower. It also has a charming Victorian pier. And when you need to clear the mind and be at one with nature, scenic Birling Gap is a joyful 2-mile walk.
