Situated in a semi rural location on the edge of the village of Polegate and within easy reach of neighbouring Pevensey (6miles) with its striking castle, now an English Heritage site, and the local village pub and shop, makes this a great location for couples wanting to explore the local area. Keen walkers and cyclists can enjoy exploring the nearby Cuckoo Trail or heading into the South Downs National Park where a multitude of footpaths cross the countryside. The beaches at either Pevensey Bay or Eastbourne are perfect for a spot of sailing, swimming or fishing, and the Sovereign Harbour Marina is a great place for a spot of lunch whilst admiring the boats moored up. The Towner, also in Eastbourne, is a stylish contemporary art gallery, which is not to be missed along with the impressive Herstmonceux Castle and the Observatory Centre both situated in the same grounds.
