About This Property
Tack Bothy is a 1 bedroom dog friendly property
Welcome to this charming stone-built studio located on a working sheep farm in the Welsh borders, nestled within 43 acres of pristine countryside. It provides an idyllic retreat for a couple or solo traveller and comes complete with its own private hot tub from which to enjoy the spectacular countryside views.
The property has been lovingly refurbished in 2017. This quirky, compact and cosy studio style accommodation is a modestly converted bothy with beautiful exposed beams, unique windows and interesting features. Newly formed of two separate buildings with a linked walkway the bothy is small, at 17 feet x 11 feet, and houses the bedroom and shower room. It has a comfortable double bed with a Smart TV and Netflix. The shower room has a shower and WC and you can dry off with fluffy towels as you plan your day’s activities. The newly added adjoining Shepherd's hut offers an open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area with a wood burning fire plus Smart TV with Netflix. The creatively designed kitchen area has a small induction hob, fridge, microwave oven, slow cooker, air fryer, with lovely views towards the stream and rolling countryside.
Between the accommodation is a large decking area, it is the perfect place to enjoy al fresco living. The private hot tub is also waiting for you, alongside a bistro table and chairs with BBQ, and a pair of Adirondack chairs to relax in enjoying the far reaching views, all set within a fenced garden. Private parking for two cars is available at the property. A shared Pump House has a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a bicycle and canoe store is available. (Additional accommodation for 2 available in Tack Cottage - property code - 51898 for families or groups).
Adding to the Bothy renovations is a new wood-fired sauna situated within a Shepherd's Hut with a dressing area. This will be a shareable space with Tack Cottage guests and private bookable slots will be available to you.
Nearby, you can find the village of Beguildy, with a welcoming pub and a handy shop. Within 11 miles, you’ll discover historic towns like Clun, Knighton and Newtown, situated along the River Severn. The region offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, including walking Glyndwr’s Way National Trail or Offa’s Dyke Trail, as well as numerous cycle routes to explore, all revealing the splendid Welsh countryside and the rolling Shropshire Hills. For unique days out, visit the Observatory Spaceguard Centre (12 miles) or The National Cycle Museum, 20 miles from home.
