A little further south lies the heart of the Cotswolds with many traditional villages and market towns to explore, including Moreton-in-Marsh (18 miles), Bourton-on-the-Water (24 miles), Broadway (7.5 miles) and Stow-on-the-Wold (16 miles). History and literature buffs will enjoy a day trip to the medieval market town and birthplace of Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon (7.5 miles). The area is also well served by the National Trust with properties and gardens such as Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and Hidcote Manor, both under 10 miles away. For family fun, visit Stratford Butterfly Farm (10 miles) and All Things Wild (5.5 miles).
