Beneath the vaulted beamed ceiling and chandelier lighting is an elegant circular dining table with garden views through the full-length bi-folding doors. To the left is a relaxed kitchen area with a large breakfast bar on the island. On the opposite side of the room, a cosy lounge contains two plump sofas and an armchair surrounding the wood burner. Also on the ground floor is a utility room, a shower room and a super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom. Climb the wooden and metal staircase to reach a family bathroom with a shower over the bath plus three bedrooms – a super-king-size with an en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath and rainforest shower, a super-king-size zip-and-link and a children’s bunk bedroom with an additional single bed. Outside is a well-sized garden with a pond and lawn area with two fire pits and furniture. There is also a large rustic wood cabin with a kitchen, bar, wood burner, darts board and a sheltered terrace with a long table and bench seating.

During your stay in the tranquil South Shropshire countryside, you could visit the historic market town of Ludlow (9 miles) to visit the castle and dine out. Venture into the Shropshire Hills National Landscape (1.5 miles) to hike through the hills and nature reserves.
