Start your retreat with a complimentary cream tea while sitting outside on your own private patio, that features something unusual: a red telephone box. Surrounded by over 200 acres of farmland, you can then wander the trails that lead you through quiet woodland, meadows and past the cows and sheep that graze on the land.
Head down to the games room for a round of pool, table tennis, air hockey or table football and for young ones, there's a swing and see-saw. Dark wood beams stretch across the ceiling of the bright kitchen/diner, and a fireplace in the lounge sets the scene for a cosy evening. Comfy, traditional farmhouse-style furniture and exposed stone throughout gives a nostalgic, homely feel.
A holiday in the South West would not be complete without a trip to the coast. Drive just shy of 10 miles down to the wide sandy Seaton Beach in Looe for snorkelling and rockpooling. This crescent stretch of coast provides views of rural greenery and sloping rockfaces. In fair weather, a small passenger boat makes the trip across to Looe Island. Sail over and take part in a guided tour to spot grey seals and great black-backed gulls. The famous Eden Project is just over 20 miles away too.
