About This Property
Oc 40621 Haytor Vale Lodge is a 2 bedroom dog friendly property
Perfectly placed in an idyllic hamlet at the base of Haytor, this property is within walking distance of a pub, tearoom, tor and historic quarry. A little further afield, there is a bustling farm shop for stocking up on locally produced goods for your stay, while approx. 2.5 miles away, Bovey Tracey offers additional shopping and dining facilities. Head out on foot and find a magnificent array of walks and cycle trails through Dartmoor National Park, while a short drive will bring you to the historic cathedral city of Exeter, home to a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes.
Arranged on one level, the accommodation features wooden floorboards, pretty soft furnishings and antique furniture, all reflecting the history of this property. The large open-plan lounge/diner has been beautifully decorated and ordained with period furnishings and thoughtful touches. Cosy up in front of the Smart TV beside the coal effect electric fire after enjoying a family meal at the antique dining table. Next door, the kitchen contains an electric oven and hob, air fryer, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and dishwasher, while a separate utility room houses the washer/dryer and table top freezer. There are two bedrooms at the other end of the property, one king-size and one twin with zip and link beds (which can be made into a super king size bed on request at time of booking) . The bedrooms have been elegantly decorated and share a Jack-and-Jill en-suite shower room with WC. There is a further shower room with WC off the main hallway.
Outside, a pretty patio area with garden furniture gives way to an enclosed garden and lawn, perfect for summer afternoons outside with children as well as four-legged friends. You will also find a Belfast sink outside, ideal for washing muddy boots or dirty paws.
