A 0.5-mile drive will bring you into the centre of Hope, a pretty village with a fascinating history and plenty of spots to grab a bite to eat. Packed with character, the property sleeps six and has many period features including beams, stone-flagged floors and vaulted ceilings. A fine example of open-plan living, there are sofas and an impressive Yorkshire range fireplace for relaxing evenings, and a handy table that’s perfect for family dining. Pleasantly presented, the first-floor bedrooms are comfortable and inviting with a variety of sleeping arrangements to suit your group. There is a generous bathroom for soothing tired limbs, and outside, you’ll have access to the shared orchard garden and grounds. Picturesque and peaceful, the ancient village of Hope has much to offer in the way of history, having been mentioned in the Domesday Book. Today, the village is best known for its selection of shops and pubs, not to mention the popular annual beer festival and rolling calendar of events. Enjoy fantastic walks from your doorstep including the iconic Pennine Way, or take things up a notch and scale Kinder Scout 9 miles away.
