42856 Great Escape Farm in Hereford is a dog friendly holiday cottage.

These two properties are set amongst miles of rolling countryside which stretches out ahead of you. Wild horses and mountain sheep lazily cross your path as you drive into the National Park from Hay on Wye. The farmhouse is remote and rural yet just ten minutes to the lovely town of Hay-on-Wye famous for its bookshops and festival yet still retains its old market town atmosphere. Some of the best walking in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons is right outside your door or you can hire a bike from Hay-on-Wye and take one of the mountain bike rides. Visit one of the many National Trust properties Hergest Croft Gardens Croft Castle Berrington Hall or Hampton Court Gardens. Leisure facilities: private hot tub. The main farmhouse offers THREE bedrooms: 3 doubles. Bathroom: with roll-top bath shower and WC. Lounge/diner: with open fire TV and DVD. Snug: with TV and Xbox on the first floor. Kitchen: with electric oven and hob and TV. The barn offers TWO bedrooms: 2 double. Bathroom: with roll-top bath shower and WC. Separate WC on the first floor. Lounge/diner: with woodburner (first basket of logs included) TV and DVD and views across the mountains. Kitchen: with electric oven and hob microwave fridge and dishwasher. Utility Room: with washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside: private courtyard area. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen towels electric central heating and Free WiFi included. 2 dogs welcome. Additional information: The property sleeps 10 however there are two sofabeds so maximum occupancy is 14. For groups of up to 20 persons you can also book the Great Escape Glamping Huts. Arrival: 4pm Need to know: SLEEPING 5 10: Five luxury double bedrooms in total. Three large double bedrooms in the main house, all with lots of storage and cosy duvets, hairdryer available. Two large double bedrooms in the barn with large brass beds, no outside noise apart from the occasional sheep bleeting and a chorus of bird song! ADDITIONAL GUESTS: This is a sleeps 10 but has two double sofa beds so can take up to 14, we also have Hidden in the heart of the hills not far from Great Escape Farm , a private nest of beautiful handmade shepherds huts providing accommodation for 8 guests please refer to Great Escape Glamping 42859 as needs to be booked separately but great if you have a larger party than 14. COOKING: Spoilt for choice! The main house has a very well equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, flat screen television and breakfast bar. The barn has an open plan kitchen with lovely oak units and an electric oven and hob. DINING: Lots of choice again: relaxed in the kitchen of the main house, or walk through into a lovely dining room with open fire. Or in the barn with spectacular views across the mountains. Barbeque available. RELAXING: Cosy sitting room in the main house with open fire, flat screen television, Sky TV and DVD. Upstairs den with X Box and sprawling sofas Wi fi. Wood burner and cosy sofas in the barn with flat screen television and DVD player as well. KEEPING CLEAN: Luxurious bathrooms in the main house and barn, both with walk in showers and roll top baths. Upstairs loo and basin in the barn as well. Self contained laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer, perfect for stashing muddy boots. HOT TUB: Exclusive to the house, with beautiful views over the countryside. PETS: Very welcome however must be kept on a lead due to nearby livestock. Dogs only allowed in the kitchen area, not allowed on the furnishings, upstairs on beds or sofas. If this is ignored an extra cleaning charge could be applied. SECURITY BOND: There is a 350 security bond for this property managed by Sugar and Loaf.
