Attractive cottage offering comfortable accommodation for four in the traditional fishing village of Appledore, with its working harbour, shops, and range of eateries.

This property enjoys a fantastic location just a stone s throw from the estuary of the River Torridge in the attractive fishing village of Appledore in North Devon. The village makes a wonderful place to enjoy a holiday, with its laid back atmosphere, fishing boats bringing fresh produce to the village restaurants, and pretty, cobbled streets. A ferry runs from the village quay across to the neighbouring village of Instow, where there is a small beach, and even more places to enjoy dining out, as well as small collection of craft workshops. The large, two mile wide beach at Westward Ho! is just three miles away, as is the harbour town of Bideford, with its interesting range of shops, and choice of enjoyable boat trips. This pretty, painted property is typical of the houses found in the village, and has been lovingly styled by the owners to provide a comfortable place to enjoy a Devonshire break. The lounge/kitchen/diner, with its wooden floors, beamed ceiling, exposed brick, and cosy wood burner effect gas fire makes the most of the well maintained original features. Outside, external steps lead to an enclosed garden with a sunny patioed seating area with a BBQ which provides a great spot for enjoying alfresco meals in the warmer months. As is typical of the village, there is no private parking available, but there is roadside parking within a few minutes walk of the property, or guests may prefer to use the local pay and display car parks.
