For shopping and eating out, head to the historic town of Tavistock (8.5 miles), home of the cream tea, to browse the independent shops or pick up souvenirs at the pannier market. For history enthusiasts, a trip to the heritage attraction of Morwellham Quay (8 miles) is a must, and for a fun, family day out, The Eden Project is within 30 miles. Nearby National Trust attractions include Lydford Gorge (13 miles) and Cotehele (3 miles).
